As a result of COVID-19, education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of Zoom classes, whereby teaching and meetings are undertaken remotely. Columbia Business School is no exception. Despite the temporary sacrifices we’re all having to make due to the pandemic, quality networking opportunities don’t necessarily have to be yet another casualty of the coronavirus.
Ikebana Zen was very honored to provide a social platform for Columbia Business School students from February 26th to February 28th. Being centered in New York City, the global hub of business, Columbia Business School offers its diverse and entrepreneurial students daily access to influential industry leaders and a worldwide alumni network. However, as these MBA students adapt to the overwhelming disruption of COVID-19, they have all been forced to use online platforms to stay in touch and to forge new relationships. Here at Ikebana Zen, we truly believe and embrace the idea of “Food connects people ”. No matter what languages you speak, people can always share the same joy of food. Good quality food enables people to experience and share the beauties of this life.
“I felt like I went back home for Thanksgiving” as one of the CBS students describes the vibe when she walks in, “The atmosphere is so very classy but chill, despite what’s your daily job is, what titles do you have, as soon as you walk in the restaurant, I am one of the CBS family, I am here to chat, to social and most importantly to have fun”. Ikebana Zen team went over the top and brought not only the delicate omakase but also the professional service, as well as the welcoming smiles.
One of the fellow CBS student wrote this to our team “Thank you for last night, it was spectacular, everything was amazing and detail was unbelievable, everything from the personal notes to the custom made CBS menu, such a special evening, I would love to come again in the short future”. The three night private tasting event has not only united people together, but also make Ikebana Zen a better team to provide better services.
